Fenerbahçe have placed Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yasin Ayari at the top of their January shortlist as they look to strengthen their central options.

Fotomac reports that the Istanbul club are preparing an initial loan proposal, including an option to buy, to be lodged when the window opens.

The Swedish international, 22, is under contract at the Amex Stadium until 2028 and is valued at around €12 million.

Fenerbahçe’s technical staff view the box-to-box midfielder as a fit to lift physical dynamism, press resistance and ball progression in the Süper Lig title race. His versatility across midfield and Premier League exposure add to the appeal.

The club hope the promise of regular starts and guaranteed European football can entice Ayari to Kadıköy for the second half of the campaign.
