Fenerbahçe have stepped up their pursuit of West Ham right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the club’s relegation, according to Turkish-Football.com.

The 28-year-old is a priority as the Istanbul side reshape their defence for 2026/27.

West Ham finished 18th in 2025/26, dropping to the Championship, and are said to need £100 million to £150 million from sales to balance the books.

With departures expected, Wan-Bissaka is seen as a realistic exit. He has several years left on the deal signed after arriving from Manchester United in 2024, yet his wages are regarded as heavy.

Fenerbahçe have a negotiation plan to land him below his Transfermarkt valuation of about €22 million. The belief is that West Ham’s need for cash could bring the price down, with suggestions a bid near £10 million might be accepted.

He is viewed as the successor to Nelson Semedo, whose future is uncertain after criticism of his performances last season. He made 27 Premier League appearances in 2025/26 and is an established DR Congo international expected to feature at the next World Cup.

Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle are also monitoring him. With the window open, Fenerbahçe are expected to begin talks to gauge his stance on a move to Türkiye.
