Fenerbahçe’s main ultra group has flagged an unprecedented pre-match visual show on Tuesday night before the Champions League play-off first leg against OL.

According to Turkish Ultras on X, GFB are preparing an unusual display that is not a traditional choreography, along with another project intended to turn the Sukru Saracoglu into a real inferno.

Among the most fervent in Europe, Fenerbahçe supporters remained agitated on Monday after controversy around the 1-2 league defeat at Gençlerbirliği, when a home fan objected to a five-year-old wearing a Fenerbahçe shirt and had it removed, despite a police officer escorting two visiting fans.

On the eve of the first leg, more than 36,000 of the 43,000 available tickets had already been taken for the Istanbul venue.

GFB mobilised heavily in the previous round against Sturm Graz and are set on creating a thunderous atmosphere again, with Lyon expected to be backed by around 100 travelling supporters. Paulo Fonseca’s side will need steady nerves.
