After defeats against Lille and Viktoria Plzen, Roma can no longer afford to slip up. On Sunday, they face Conte’s Napoli, a match in which Gasperini should be able to count on Dybala and Bailey.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two forwards completed part of training yesterday, playing a practice match alongside their teammates. Both are expected to be benched against the Danes, before being fully available against Napoli.

La Joya is even closer to returning than the Jamaican, so much so that some even thought he might join the team in Cremona.

With Dybala and Bailey back, Gasperini will have more attacking options in the upcoming matches.

Only Dovbyk remains out of action, and he could return directly in 2026.

The Ukrainian wanted to return for the Juventus game, but the date circled by the medical staff is December 29th against Genoa.

Meanwhile, Roma can also count on Ferguson, who scored his first goal for the Giallorossi against Cremonese. Baldanzi started in Cremona, but he’s not on the UEFA squad list.

Therefore, the Irishman will lead the Giallorossi attack from the start on Thursday.

Barring any surprises, Ferguson is also expected to start against Napoli, when he’ll have to contend with a giant defense featuring Buongiorno, Rrahmani, and Beukema.
