Evan Ferguson scored his fourth goal in a month, demonstrating his growing confidence in Serie A.
The Irish striker, who played a key role in the victory against Lecce, is ready to be confirmed for the match against Sassuolo.
His performance is attracting the attention of Roma, who in recent weeks had explored the possibility of bringing forward his transfer from Brighton.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that negotiations are currently on hold due to difficulties encountered in Zirkzee’s salary.
Meanwhile, Betis’ interest in Ferguson, who had explored the possibility of a return to the Premier League with the Seagulls, appears to have cooled.
Some other outgoing deals, however, are more concrete: Roma are planning to terminate the loan of Leon Bailey, who was targeted by Bournemouth but has now been rejected by the Giallorossi management.
Another possible departure concerns Tommaso Baldanzi, while 21-year-old Pisilli has been temporarily removed from the market, with negotiations currently ongoing with Genoa and Cagliari.
However, any outgoing move will depend on the possibility of strengthening the midfield, where Roma is still awaiting a signing.
