Fernando Diniz marks two months at Corinthians on Saturday, with progress in cups and league.

According to Globo.com, his start has been promising. In 16 games he has nine wins, four draws and three defeats, with 20 for and 12 against, a 65% return.

He debuted away to Platense in Buenos Aires in the Libertadores group stage, winning 2-0 through Kayke and Yuri Alberto. Corinthians topped their group and will face Rosario of Argentina in the last 16.

In the Copa do Brasil they beat Barra to reach the last 16, where Internacional await.

Diniz has revived key players. Rodrigo Garro is influential again, while Gabriel Paulista and Allan have had consistent minutes and strong displays.

Gustavo Henrique kept the level shown under Dorival Júnior and added threat in attack with decisive moments. He also found a way to pair Garro with Breno Bidon.

Young forward Kayke impressed before a serious knee injury that should rule him out for the rest of the season.

At Neo Química Arena he has six wins, one draw and one defeat from eight, a 79.2% home return.

He has quickly connected with the fanbase, often celebrating on the pitch and closing press conferences with 'Vai, Corinthians' after victories.

In the Brasileirão under Diniz there are four wins, two draws and two defeats from eight. The 14 points in that span leave Corinthians three behind Flamengo, who have the best total in that period.
