Fernando Torres hasn’t enjoyed the best of starts in Japan.
The veteran Spanish striker joined Sagan Tosu over the summer, but with the club firmly in the relegation zone, the former Liverpool man has so far only mustered one goal in 14 appearances.
But, as the old saying goes, you can’t keep a good man down..
Drawing 1-1 with Yokohama on Saturday and with the match going into its final moments, Sagan Tosu were on the verge of relegation.
But up stepped Torres to roll back the years with this brilliant finish.
It gave Sagan a 2-1 win and confirmed their place in Japan’s top division for next season.
