Spain have reached the World Cup final and, if they feature, Ferran y Grimaldo could become the first Valencians to play in it. La Roja now chase a second star.

According to Superdeporte, Luis de la Fuente's side have been the tournament's slickest, controlling opponents from start to finish, and will face Argentina or England.

Raúl Albiol won the 2010 World Cup but did not play in the final, decided by an Iniesta goal against the Netherlands. The Vilamarxant native, 40, left Pisa two weeks ago and has 58 caps.

He did not feature in 2010 and played once in 2014, starting and completing Spain's 3-0 win over Australia.

Álex Grimaldo has yet to debut at this World Cup, while Ferran Torres is a trusted impact option for De la Fuente despite starting the opener against Cabo Verde. He scored two goals in Qatar and in 2026 supplied the assist for Mikel Merino's winner against Portugal in the last 16.

Ferran is highly regarded after important moments at Barcelona and has attracted interest from Luis Enrique's PSG. He has not scored at this tournament, but with the final in his sights he could be important against the Argentina or England winner.
