FIFA conducts new inspection at Neo Química Arena ahead of 2027 Women’s World Cup | OneFootball

The Neo Química Arena received a fresh FIFA technical visit on Friday ahead of the 2027 Women’s World Cup, with the Corinthians ground set to host 10 matches.

The assessment focused on operations and each area lead escorted the delegation. The stadium said in a statement that FIFA is monitoring progress since the last visit and noting changes to improve matchdays.

Since last year’s check, the pitch was fully rebuilt during the World Cup pause. After early criticism, it met the required standard and has been back to normal since August.

The São Paulo venue was the fifth stop after Beira-Rio, Maracanã, Mineirão and Estádio Nacional. Next are Recife, Fortaleza and Salvador.

It will stage six group games on 25, 27 and 29 June, plus one, four and eight July, including Brazil’s second match on 29 June. A round of 16 tie is set for 11 July, a quarter-final for 17 July and, if Brazil top Group A, a semi-final on 20 July.

The third-place play-off is on 24 July, making it the tournament’s busiest venue. Ticket timelines and prices are yet to be announced.

As hosts, Brazil are qualified and seeded in Group A. The 2027 finals will feature 32 teams, as in 2023, with 14 places still to be decided.
