Spain have been crowned FIFA World Cup 26™ champions thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Argentina in the final.
It is time to dive into the top performers from the FIFA Power Rankings - powered by Aramco.
Attacking Score: Ferran Torres
The highest Attacking Score of the contest went to Spain's Ferran Torres with 8.55.
That was well earned as he wrote himself into his country's history forever by pouncing in extra-time to score the only goal of the game with an emphatic close-range volley.
Creativity Score: Nico Williams
The Spanish winger's Creativity Score of 7.94 was the highest of the final thanks to being the primary creative outlet for his side.
He stretched Argentina's defence throughout, breaking the lines consistently and his quality of delivery was key to Spain's continued attacking pressure.
Defending Score: Rodri
Spain captain Rodri's Defending Score of 8.22 ranked him the highest for the final thanks to an excellent performance which helped his side to a clean sheet and the trophy.
He won three tackles, regained possession nine times and his anticipation and positioning allowed Spain to recover the ball consistently when it was lost and establish control of the contest when it was won back.
At the FIFA World Cup 2026™, FIFA launched a new individual player ranking system based on data collected during matches. The FIFA Power Rankings provide objective, data-driven insight into player performance.
All outfield players will receive a score between 0-10 in three categories (attacking, creativity and defending). Goalkeepers will be scored in two categories: in possession and defending the goal. A ‘Power Ranking Classification’ will be produced after each match round, showing the top 100 players in each category. The Power Ranking is considered as a measure of match and tournament performance: each player receives a score for each match and for their overall performance in the tournament.
