According to Uol, FIFA will pay clubs five thousand dollars per day for each player released for the 2026 World Cup, with Flamengo supplying nine internationals. This compensation is intended to offset absences during the tournament.

The rate is lower than at the 2022 edition, when clubs received R$ 50 thousand per day. With nine players called up, Flamengo will collect R$ 231.3 thousand each day.

Over the group phase alone, Flamengo are set to earn about one million four hundred and forty thousand dollars, R$ seven point four million. The total could rise if Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Uruguay reach the knockouts.

Carlo Ancelotti has called Danilo, Alex Sandro, Léo Pereira and Lucas Paquetá for Brazil. Uruguay selected Arrascaeta, De La Cruz and Varela, Colombia have Jorge Carrascal, and Gonzalo Plata is available for Ecuador.

With nine players at the World Cup, Flamengo lead Brazilian clubs for call-ups, ahead of Palmeiras, Atlético-MG, Grêmio and Internacional.

The squad are on a World Cup break. Their next fixture is scheduled for 22 July against Chapecoense in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.

Before then, Flamengo will hold a camp in Portugal, playing three friendlies against Falkirk (ESC), Birmigham (ING) and Benfica (POR).
