Not much longer and the morning session would have passed the two-hour mark. Rasmus Kristensen was required for a bit longer and strode purposefully towards the media room to officially introduce himself to the press, both those attending in person and those online. Among other things, the Leeds loanee spoke about...

… his first impressions: “Very good. Great group, cool guys. I’ve been very well received and am really pleased to be at such a big club. We have a lot of quality and I think we’re in for a good season.”

… his character: “I’m a Dane and always give my all – that’s one thing I can always guarantee 100 percent. I want to help where I can with my personality, experience and style of play. That’s essentially the most important thing for me: that everyone does what they can do best.”

… the squad structure: “A young team like ours obviously needs experience and leadership, too. I also see extremely high quality here, though. A lot of the young players here have already played a lot of games, so I don’t see any problems.”

… his style of play: “Fight, power, aggression. I like to get up and down. I’m also tactically more disciplined and understand football better than three or four years ago.”

… his research on Eintracht: “I watched a lot of Eintracht games, especially because of Jesper Lindström, who’s a friend of mine. I also heard a lot of good things from Evan Ndicka, who I played with at Roma. I know Robin Koch from Leeds, we spoke beforehand. So, I already had a concrete image of the club before.”

… his shirt number 13: “I didn’t know that Martin Hinteregger had it before. Nobody told me that – I’m under more pressure now (laughs). I want to do the number justice. I’ve heard a lot about Hinti and when I was at Salzburg, he came to visit once or twice. I hope I do well enough that the number 13 continues to embody the qualities demanded.”
