Fily Traoré is on the radar of African giants: Will he find his next move soon?
A heated transfer battle is brewing in North Africa, with Malian sensation Fily "Bafily" Traoré at its center. The 24-year-old striker, whose goal-scoring prowess for Asswehly SC has earned him the moniker "serial killer," is now the subject of intense desire for continental giants Al Ahly.
According to various reports, the Cairo-based "Red Devils" are actively seeking to bolster their attacking line and have identified Traoré as a primary target. They are so convinced of his talent that they are reportedly prepared to break the bank to secure his signature.
However, Al Ahly is far from alone in this pursuit. The young international has also attracted significant interest from a host of other prestigious clubs, including Tunisia's Espérance Sportive de Tunis, Morocco's Wydad Casablanca, and Algeria's CR Belouizdad. This widespread attention, first revealed in August, underscores his rising stock in African football.
Despite the clamor for his services, any move will require delicate negotiation. Traoré remains under contract with Asswehly SC until June 2027, and the club has previously demonstrated a firm stance, having blocked his departure when offers came in previously. With his market value currently estimated around €500,000, Asswehly SC holds the key to unleashing one of African football's most promising strikers onto a bigger stage.
