Sassuolo have set their sights on Christian Kouamé, the 28-year-old Ivorian striker who looks poised to leave Fiorentina. The club is searching for a proven goalscorer to replace Walid Cheddira, who has been sent out on loan to Lecce.

Kouamé, a regular for the Ivory Coast national team (30 caps, 3 goals), has featured in just two Serie A matches this season. His current market value is estimated at €2.5 million. Fiorentina, however, were demanding at least €7 million for Kouamé as of January 2025, after Mallorca tabled a bid in the €6–8 million range back in July 2024.
