Fiorentina eager for Pellegrino after Juventus drop Parma striker | OneFootball

Fiorentina are reportedly ready to push Parma for €30m-rated striker Mateo Pellegrino, who is seen as the replacement for Roberto Piccoli, after Juventus backed away.

The Argentine centre-forward has been repeatedly linked with an exit from the Stadio Tardini this summer and his most likely destination was Juve.

However, after they secured Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen talent Kerim Alajbegovic, the funds and space have dried up.

Unless Jonathan David can be moved on, then they are currently not in a position to swoop.

Fiorentina step in for Pellegrino

This has allowed Fiorentina to get into the running instead, as Sportitalia confirm the negotiations are progressing rapidly.

In turn, Parma have already found Pellegrino’s replacement after signing El Bilal Toure from Atalanta, on loan with an option to buy for a total €11.5m.

Crystal Palace are among the clubs also known to be keeping a close eye on Pellegrino, and the asking price is set at €30m.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Fiorentina see Pellegrino as a replacement for Piccoli, rather than Moise Kean.

Piccoli is on the radar for Bologna, if they manage to find a buyer for Thijs Dallinga this summer.
