Fiorentina sign Pellegrino, loan Piccoli to Bologna | OneFootball

Fiorentina have completed the permanent signing of Mateo Pellegrino from Parma. The deal is understood to be €22.5m plus €2m in add-ons, trimming Parma’s original valuation of nearly €30m.

Roberto Piccoli has joined Bologna on loan with an option to buy. Sky Sport Italia reports that the clause becomes an obligation if Bologna remain in Serie A, for €18m plus a further €2-3m in bonuses.

The moves form a key strand of a Serie A striker merry-go-round that has been in motion for days. Pellegrino had also been linked with Juventus, but Fiorentina secured the Argentine.

Pellegrino scored 12 goals in 39 appearances for Parma last season across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

The merry-go-round is not finished, with Bologna prepared to send Thijs Dallinga to FC Koln to accommodate Piccoli. Parma have decided to loan Jacob Ondrejka to FC Groningen.
