According to Sportitalia, Fiorentina are ready to push Parma for €30m-rated striker Mateo Pellegrino after Juventus stepped back.
The Argentine had been strongly linked with Juventus, but their signings of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen talent Kerim Alajbegovic mean the funds and squad space have dried up.
Unless Jonathan David can be moved on, Juventus are not in a position to move. That has opened the door for Fiorentina, and talks are progressing quickly.
Parma have already lined up a successor, signing El Bilal Toure from Atalanta on loan with an option to buy for a total €11.5m.
Crystal Palace are among the clubs monitoring Pellegrino. Fiorentina view him as a replacement for Roberto Piccoli rather than Moise Kean.
Piccoli is on Bologna’s radar, if they manage to find a buyer for Thijs Dallinga this summer.
