Juventus are interested in Fiorentina’s promising left-back talent, Niccolò Fortini. Discussions between the two clubs are ongoing for the 19-year-old, with Roma previously also interested.

The Bianconeri’s moves look the most concrete, with the U21 Italy talent seen to be “the most promising prospect, highly sought after for his quality and price, and Continassa considering him one of the most promising prospects for the Azzurri”, as Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Juventus have reportedly found now to be the ideal time to strike, as Fiorentina undergo a period of change with the arrival of new sporting director, Fabio Paratici. Fiorentina could part ways with the 2006-born Lucca native for a fee of around €15 million, and while there’s little room for manoeuvre regarding this valuation, Juve have some potential pawns to use in their negotiations.

From Federico Gatti (permanent) to Daniele Rugani (on loan), an immediate reinforcement from Turin could arrive to strengthen the Florence outfit’s defensive line in the second half of the season and ultimately help their chances of staying up.

Fortini has played 14 times this season in Serie A, and has looked like a rare bright spark in a difficult season for the 18th-placed Viola. He has further impressed on the youth international stage, having previously earned himself 12 caps at U19 level for the Azzurri, before finding another two caps for the U21s.
