Alessandro Bastoni had a fever yesterday, so he warmed up separately from the rest of the team this morning, joining his teammates for the remainder of the training session, while Federico Dimarco worked separately.
Slight fitness concerns for Italy and Luciano Spalletti as two defenders, Bastoni and Dimarco, were not seen working with the group during a training session on Friday, which was open to the media in the first 15 minutes.
Bastoni warmed up in the gym near the training ground this morning, given that he had had a fever on Thursday, but he then joined the rest of the team to complete the training session on the pitch.
Football Italia understands that his Inter teammate Dimarco, on the other hand, trained separately from the group for the entire session.
Dimarco had been training separately for two days before Monday’s game against Croatia, but he still started in the final group-stage match and was replaced early in the second half.
Dimarco hasn’t fully recovered from a calf injury sustained against Spain and Spalletti will predictably say more about his availability during a press conference today.
