Italy international Mateo Retegui scored a goal as a substitute in Atalanta’s 3-0 win over Napoli on Sunday, but his celebration infuriated the Partenopei.
The Argentine-born striker started on the bench at the Maradona yesterday but still scored his 11th goal in 11 appearances this season.
However, his goal celebration at minute 92 infuriated Napoli players, especially Pasquale Mazzocchi, who argued on the touchline with Atalanta defender Berat Djimsiti, leading to a yellow card for both.
Retegui was also booked as he removed his shirt to celebrate the goal.
His exaggerated reaction or agesture towards the stands may have caused Mazzochi’s irritability.
