Flaco López is set for his final Palmeiras outing before the World Cup pause, against Junior Barranquilla on Thursday. Victory at Allianz Parque seals a Conmebol Libertadores last 16 place.
Top spot would still depend on Cerro Porteño losing to Sporting Cristal in Group F. According to Globo.com, others likely to make their last club appearance before the tournament include Gustavo Gómez, Ramón Sosa, Maurício, Emiliano Martínez and Giay.
Piquerez has been released for treatment in Uruguay, and Jhon Arias is on Colombia's list. FIFA set 25 May as the release date, but a Conmebol deal let players feature in the final group round of the Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
Unlike the rest, López could be in his final days at Palmeiras, with bids expected in the window. He has 14 goals and six assists in 34 games, needing nine more to match his 2025 tally despite 30 fewer matches.
Palmeiras do not wish to sell, yet an extremely advantageous offer would be discussed with his camp. Signed for $7m in 2022, about R$35m, his valuation has tripled and could rise with an Argentina call-up. Internal resistance means no minimum price was set.
Elsewhere, the market is watching Vitor Roque, though Allan is seen as likelier to leave after a goal and an assist against Flamengo. Palmeiras would prefer to keep him, yet are more open to proposals, having rejected a R$218m Napoli bid, with Newcastle also interested. The window opens on 20 July, two days after the final.
