Flamengo host Independiente del Valle on Thursday 17 in the Libertadores quarter-final second leg at the Maracanã, aiming to stay unbeaten in 2026 and seal a semi-final berth. Kick-off is at 21h30 Brasília time.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the Rio side have played nine times in the 2026 Libertadores, winning seven and drawing two. Their group campaign opened with a 2-0 win at Cusco in Peru, then a 4-1 home victory over Independiente Medellín.
They then drew 1-1 away to Estudiantes de La Plata, before edging the return 1-0 in Rio. They closed the phase with a 3-0 home win over Cusco, and were awarded a walkover after the Medellín fixture in Colombia was cancelled.
In the last 16, Flamengo drew 1-1 in the first leg against Cruzeiro, then won the return 2-1 to reach the quarter-finals. The most recent outing brought a 2-0 triumph at Independiente del Valle in Quito.
That result leaves Leonardo Jardim’s side with a cushion, and even a one-goal defeat would still take them into the semi-finals.
The match will be shown live on ESPN for pay-TV viewers and on Disney+ via streaming, with no free-to-air broadcast.
