Flamengo and Cruzeiro meet at the Maracanã on Wednesday 19 with a Copa Libertadores quarter-final place at stake, after a 1-1 first leg at the Mineirão and no away-goals rule in play.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo are urged to make home advantage count and try to settle the tie in normal time, with an early goal seen as a way to draw Cruzeiro out and create space.

There is no extra time in the last 16, quarter-finals or semi-finals. If the aggregate score is level after two legs, the tie goes straight to penalties.

A Flamengo win of any margin would send the Rubro-Negro through. Any Cruzeiro victory would take the Minas side into the last eight. Another draw of any score would mean penalties.

The winner will face Tolima or Independiente del Valle. Del Valle won the first leg 1-0 in Colombia and play for a draw in the return on Tuesday 25 in Ecuador.
