Flamengo have agreed a new contract with Erick Pulgar, extending the midfielder’s deal by three seasons to 2029.
“I am very happy. This is what my family and I wanted. The time I have been here, the work I have put in and my perseverance have made me the player I am today. Most importantly, the fans’ affection is the greatest prize I have,” he told the club’s official channels.
Talks had been on the agenda in recent weeks, with Flamengo keen to extend his stay. Interest from overseas left his future unclear, and the club moved to secure the Chilean on new terms.
Pulgar joined in 2022 and has become a key figure in midfield, combining defensive application with contributions in attack.
He has played 172 matches for Flamengo, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. He has won 11 trophies with the club, including Libertadores titles in 2022 and 2025, the Brasileirão in 2025 and the Copa do Brasil in 2024.
Flamengo face Mirassol on Wednesday in a rescheduled round four Brasileirão match, with kick-off at 19:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
