Flamengo begin an important run of away fixtures on Wednesday, visiting Estudiantes in the Libertadores group stage at 21:30 Brasília time, and are leaning on logistics to limit fatigue despite the Vasco derby at the weekend.

According to Globo.com, the squad arrived in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night and returned to the Sheraton Buenos Aires Greenville, a resort outside the city, en route to La Plata, with tight security to ensure privacy and focus.

A double room with a pool view averages 160 dollars, R$ 799,36. For the Recopa against Lanús, they opted for a central base in Puerto Madero.

After facing Estudiantes, Flamengo fly back to Rio de Janeiro in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, then resume training on Friday. They meet Vasco on Sunday. The following week is trickier.

They play Independiente Medellín on Thursday, then Grêmio on Sunday, so arrangements are being made to travel from Colombia directly to Porto Alegre, cutting at least one leg of the journey.

After that match, the delegation returns to Rio, then on Wednesday head to Salvador for the Copa do Brasil second leg against Vitória on Thursday 14. The marathon concludes on Sunday 17 against Athletico-PR in Curitiba.
