Flamengo briefing: Betano could end deal, Brazil face Australia and Ancelotti names first XI | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Betano has informally told Flamengo it could terminate the master sponsorship because of a potential ban on betting companies in Brazil. There has been no official notification so far, though the club are already exploring alternatives.

The partnership was signed last year, worth a fixed R$ 268 million per season, and runs until the end of 2028. It marked the biggest sponsorship agreement in Brazilian football.

The September FIFA window continues and on Friday 25 Brazil play Australia in Townsville at seven, Brasília time, their first friendly since the World Cup. The match at Queensland Country Bank will air on Rede Globo.

Brazil’s first post-2026 World Cup starting XI has been set, with Ancelotti naming Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, Marquinhos, Vitor Reis and Douglas Santos, Danilo and Bruno Guimarães, plus Estevão, Raphinha, Endrick and Vinícius. He added light-heartedly that supporters should not get used to early team confirmations.
