Flamengo are close to signing Lucas Paquetá after West Ham accepted their financial offer, with final details now being ironed out. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Brazilian club aim to finalise the agreement as quickly as possible.

The payment structure has been set, with a large portion to be paid up front. The remainder will be settled over 18 months.

Paquetá will sign a contract for five seasons. Flamengo president Bap said on Sunday 25 he has been in contact with West Ham almost hourly.

The club could announce the deal at any moment. The player is due to arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday night, 29.

Flamengo have agreed to pay €41.25m, about R$ 256m at the current rate, for a player developed at the club.
