Head coach Filipe Luís said improvement is a collective task, not only for Lucas Paquetá. He added Paquetá will play better as the team functions, pointing to the Botafogo game when he stood out because the side performed.

Rossi urged supporters to believe and get behind the team, recalling that many did not expect them to be champions last year before they won the Brazilian title. He cautioned that finals are never easy and noted they are 90 minutes from another trophy.

The tie will be settled in the return match, and Flamengo must win the second leg to claim the continental title.
