Flamengo travel to Quito on Monday afternoon, three days before facing Independiente del Valle (EQU) in the Copa Libertadores quarter-final first leg. According to Coluna Do Fla, the delegation are flying out and the departure will be broadcast live.
The squad remained in Belém after their Brasileirão fixture, trained there following a victory, and did not return to Rio.
After landing in Ecuador, coach Leonardo Jardim will oversee two further sessions at the LDU (EQU) training centre. Including Monday's work in Belém, Flamengo will have three training sessions before the game.
Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 10 at Estádio Olímpico Atahualpa, which sits 2,850 metres above sea level. The first leg will determine who holds the advantage in the race for a semi-final place.
The return takes place on 17 September at the Maracanã, also at 21:30 Brasília time. If the aggregate score is level, the tie will be decided on penalties.
Even away from home, Flamengo supporters are expected to be in attendance to back the team. There will be full coverage, real-time updates and behind-the-scenes content across digital platforms.
