Conmebol has appointed Argentine referee Facundo Tello for Flamengo’s Copa Libertadores quarter-final first leg against Independente del Valle, scheduled for Thursday 10 at 21:30 Brasília time in Ecuador.
According to Coluna Do Fla, assistant referees and the VAR team are still to be confirmed.
Conmebol has also set the kits for the first leg. Flamengo will wear white shirts, shorts and socks, with goalkeeper Rossi in yellow. Independente del Valle will use their traditional black with blue details through the centre of the shirt, their goalkeeper in green.
Flamengo arrive in one of their most stable spells under Leonardo Jardim, combining strong displays with results that have left them one point behind Palmeiras in the Brasileirão. The holders advanced by beating Cruzeiro, drawing 1-1 in Belo Horizonte then winning 2-1 at the Maracanã.
Independente del Valle have slipped after a 26-match unbeaten run, losing their last two league games. Even so, they still lead the domestic table by more than 20 points.
ESPN and Disney+ (Paramount) will show the game. Before the Libertadores tie, Flamengo face Remo in the Brasileirão on Sunday 6 at 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio Mangueirão.
