Flamengo face Botafogo at the Maracanã on Sunday, and hope to welcome three players back for the 25th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Alex Sandro, Vitão and De La Cruz have moved forward in their recoveries and are already working on the grass at Ninho do Urubu.
The trio are not yet in full training, remaining in a physical transition stage, and will be re-evaluated during the week. Leonardo Jardim and his staff will then decide whether to name them in the matchday squad.
Alex Sandro is treating tendinitis in his right calf, while Vitão and De La Cruz are recovering from left thigh muscle injuries. Centre-back Léo Pereira, rested last time out due to fatigue, is expected to be included.
Kick-off is at 16:00 Brasília time, with live coverage on Rede Globo’s free-to-air channel. GE TV on YouTube and Premiere pay-per-view will also show Flamengo v Botafogo.
Flamengo stayed on 45 points after losing to Cruzeiro on Saturday 22. Palmeiras beat Vasco and stretched the gap over Flamengo from three to six points, to 51, having played one game more.
