Flamengo launch 130th anniversary series, where to watch | OneFootball

As part of the celebrations for the 130th anniversary of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, the web series “Being Flamengo” will be launched this Saturday (15) by FlamengoTV. The four-episode production revisits important moments in the club’s history. The series is the result of research by Flamengo’s Historical Heritage department, which identified the traits that shape the soul and behavior of the Nation over more than a century of existence. The inaugural episode, “Flamengo and Faith. Trust,” which airs at 10 a.m., presents the origin of the relationship between Flamengo and Saint Jude Thaddeus, the club’s patron saint. The devotion began in the 1940s, when Father Góes—a passionate supporter—took the team to attend a mass. From then on, came the three-time championship and a process of popularization that helped consolidate this faith as an essential part of the club’s identity. The other three episodes are: “Flamengo is Culture” (Tuesday 11/18), “DNA of Brazil” (Friday 11/21), and “Flacentrism” (Monday 11/24), always at 10 a.m. Throughout the series, the audience is invited to understand how history and collective experience have shaped the main traits of the Rubro-Negro—faith, culture, Brazilian identity, and a certain flacentrism that inspires generations. The narrative is led by historian Luiz Antônio Simas, writer and biographer Ruy Castro, and influencer Reikrauss, with special appearances by musicians Dudu Nobre and Xande de Pilares.
