Flamengo line up Guilherme sale to Gil Vicente | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Flamengo have lined up the sale of 20-year-old midfielder Guilherme Gomes to Gil Vicente for 400,000 euros, covering 70% of his economic rights.

He is travelling to Europe on Wednesday to report to the Portuguese club and undergo medical tests. If all is well, he will sign a four-year contract.

Gil Vicente also hold an option to buy a further 15% of his rights for 100,000 euros. In March, Guilherme extended his Flamengo deal to December 2028.

The playmaker is in his final under-20 season and has not been used in the senior side. Under Leonardo Jardim, he was listed only once for official matches and joined the mid-season camp in Portugal.

Born in Mandaguari in Paraná, a city of about 40,000 inhabitants, he joined Flamengo in 2021 and signed his first professional contract in 2023.

He worked under Filipe Luís in the academy and first team, becoming a favourite of the former left-back. Guilherme Gomes made his Flamengo senior debut in 2024 against Cuiabá, scoring the first goal in a comeback win. In 2025, with Filipe Luís, he played seven games, scoring three and providing three assists. This year he featured only in three State Championship matches with an alternative side.
