Flamengo ‘to sell’ Guilherme to Gil Vicente for €400,000 | OneFootball

Flamengo have moved towards the sale of midfielder Guilherme to Portuguese side Gil Vicente, with talks progressing on Wednesday.

According to ge, Flamengo will receive €400,000, about R$ 2.5 million, for 70 percent of his economic rights and retain a sell-on. Gil Vicente can also buy a further 15 percent for €100,000, around R$ 590,000.

The transfer still depends on final formalities, including medical tests, but the principal terms have been settled between the clubs. Guilherme will leave Rio de Janeiro to begin a new chapter in Portuguese football.

The 20-year-old featured among Flamengo’s youngsters early in the year, making matchday squads for the senior side and appearing in the Campeonato Carioca.

He joined the club in 2021, signed his first professional deal in 2023, and debuted for the first team in 2024. His first senior goal came against Cuiabá at Arena Pantanal in the Brasileirão.

In all, he has five goals in 11 senior appearances. At youth level, he is a two-time world champion and has also won a Copa Libertadores da América.
