Filipe Luís's staff have opted to rest De La Cruz due to the synthetic pitch at Estádio Nilton Santos. Jorginho remains on a muscle injury recovery plan.

Saúl Ñíguez and Varela continue on schedules set by the medical department. The Spaniard had surgery on his left heel before pre-season began. Wallace Yan has reported muscle pain.
