Flamengo spend R$ 431.8m on Lucas Paquetá, Vitão and Andrew in early 2026 | OneFootball

Flamengo made three headline signings in the first 2026 window, spending R$ 431.8 million on Lucas Paquetá, Vitão and Andrew. According to Coluna Do Fla, the outlay came in the club’s opening transfer period of the year.

Paquetá cost R$ 315.6 million, Vitão R$ 81.5 million and Andrew R$ 34.7 million, covering federative rights, signing-on fees and intermediary costs.

The deals were confirmed across January. Vitão arrived on 9 January after a lengthy saga with Internacional, a move that also included forgiveness of the Gaúcho club’s debt from the Thiago Maia transfer. Andrew was announced on 15 January from Gil Vicente after reserve keeper Matheus Cunha departed for Cruzeiro.

Paquetá, the most expensive signing in Flamengo’s history, was unveiled on 28 January. Talks with West Ham, his former club in England, advanced after the midfielder made clear his wish to return following a difficult spell there.

Flamengo posted first-half 2026 revenue of R$ 839 million, up 9.5 percent on the same period in 2025, even without the R$ 155.8 million Club World Cup payout. The expectation is the club will go lighter in the second window.

Even so, Flamengo want three additions now. The only name to surface is Thiago Almada, the ex-Botafogo and Atlético de Madrid midfielder, with advanced talks reported. The board also aim to recruit a winger and a centre-forward, ideally a young striker to rotate with Pedro, the undisputed number 9 under Leonardo Jardim.
