Flamengo name starting XI for Estudiantes trip | OneFootball

Top spot in Group A is at stake as Flamengo visit Estudiantes in La Plata on Wednesday 29, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time. Head coach Leonardo Jardim has confirmed his starting XI.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the starters are: Agustín Rossi, Emerson Royal, Danilo, Vitão and Alex Sandro, Evertton Araújo, Jorginho and Arrascaeta, Samuel Lino, Luiz Araújo and Bruno Henrique.

The bench comprises Andrew, Dyogo Alves, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Ayrton Lucas, De La Cruz, Saúl, Carrascal, Cebolinha, Plata, Pedro and Wallace Yan.

As under Jardim since he took charge, Flamengo are again rotating and do not repeat the previous line-up. There are notable changes from the XI that thrashed Atlético-MG in the last Brasileirão round.

One switch is enforced. Centre-back Léo Pereira did not travel due to a cut on his leg and is expected to be available against Vasco on Sunday in the Brasileirão. Danilo starts in his place.

Flamengo lead Group A on six points from two rounds, with Estudiantes on four. Independiente Medellín have one and Cusco are on zero.

In Brazil the match is on Globo free-to-air in most regions, with São Paulo and Paraná showing Cerro Porteño and Palmeiras instead. Paramount Plus will also stream the game.
