Lanús beat Flamengo 1-0 in the CONMEBOL Recopa in Argentina. According to Globo.com, coach Filipe Luís received the lowest rating after a poor team display, while Erick Pulgar was picked out as the best.

Rossi endured an uneasy night, beaten three times by Castillo, two for offside, though he did save a free-kick low.

Léo Ortiz mixed blocks with mistakes, losing a duel to Castillo and mistiming the ball for the goal. Léo Pereira was steadier yet let Castillo nip across him. Alex Sandro started poorly, then improved and crossed for Pedro to head wide.

Pulgar excelled, blocking Salvio’s shot and threading a pass to Arrascaeta. Lucas Paquetá, used deeper, was off colour with stray passes and one shot wide. Arrascaeta was largely contained but made a last-man tackle to stop a break.

Pedro’s introduction brought more attempts, two headers, one threatening. Luiz Araújo struggled, blazed his only shot and was poor from set pieces. De la Cruz lost the ball before the goal, and Carrascal laboured with his back to play.

Everton fashioned the best opening after outmuscling a defender, but shot straight at the goalkeeper.

Filipe Luís chose a lighter attack that did not click, left two substitutions unused and kept struggling players on, notably Paquetá.
