Flamengo preparing a permanent offer for Lille midfielder Thiago Maia

As reported by Le 10 Sport, Lille midfielder Thiago Maia, currently on loan at Brazilian club Flamengo, is subject to the South American giants’ interest in regards to a permanent deal.

As discussed by the outlet, a meeting has taken place between the two clubs with Flamengo positioning themselves to secure Maia on a permanently following the end of his loan, a likely transfer fee has yet to filter through, however.

Unable to make an impact in Ligue 1 having signed from Santos for €14m in 2017, Maia (24) has been on loan at Flamengo for nearly two years with his LOSC deal set to expire in 2023. Maia played 69 senior games for Lille scoring and assisting just once each.
