Flamengo are treating Fatal Model’s mooted bid to replace Betano as main shirt sponsor as a marketing move. According to Coluna Do Fla, the club did not receive any official proposal on Sunday 27.

Its name dominated sports bulletins on Sunday amid uncertainty over the future of sports betting in Brazil, after a proposal of more than R$ 100 million for one year emerged.

The firm has also been linked with a lucrative offer to Corinthians as it seeks wider exposure in football. Flamengo have set out their stance, while the São Paulo side have yet to comment.

Betano have been Flamengo’s main shirt sponsor since the 2025 season on around R$ 200 million a year. The relationship’s future is unclear following a provisional measure suspending sports betting in Brazil.

Clubs are exploring alternatives, and there is an expectation that teams will meet federal officials to discuss the situation this season.

On the pitch, Flamengo visit Santos in the Brasileirão on 8 October, a Thursday, at Vila Belmiro, with kick-off at 19:30 Brasília time. Premiere pay-per-view will broadcast the game.
