Flamengo set plan for Jorge Carrascal’s return, Bragantino involvement uncertain | OneFootball

Flamengo have mapped out Jorge Carrascal’s return from Colombia duty, prioritising his reintegration into training. According to Coluna Do Fla, the schedule could affect his involvement against Red Bull Bragantino.

Carrascal is due to land in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday 31. His participation in the morning session at Ninho do Urubu remains uncertain. If he does not arrive in time, he will join the group on Wednesday 31.

Should he train only on Wednesday 31, he would have just one preparation session with team-mates. Selection for Bragantino will therefore be at Leonardo Jardim’s discretion.

Across Colombia’s two fixtures in this international window, Carrascal played 27 minutes. He came on after the interval against Croatia, and did not leave the bench against France.

In Carrascal’s absence, and with other internationals away, Jardim used the break to work on adjustments and further implement his methods. Flamengo’s next match in the 2026 season is at Bragança Paulista on Thursday two, the Brasileirão’s ninth round, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time.
