Flamengo will rest Jorginho, Léo Pereira, Erick Pulgar and Bruno Henrique for Monday’s Carioca semi-final second leg against Madureira at the Maracanã, the club said in a statement. Kick-off is 21:00 Brasília time.

Having won the first leg 3-0, Flamengo can lose by two goals and still reach the state final.

Bruno Henrique will not be named due to pubalgia and is undergoing daily treatment.

Erick Pulgar has muscle soreness after the match against Lanús. Scans showed no injury, yet on medical advice he will not face Madureira.

Jorginho was heavily taxed in his comeback on Thursday and has been ruled out by the medical team for the next game.

After playing more than 120 minutes against Lanús on Thursday, Léo Pereira showed high physical fatigue and will not be selected. He will train at CT George Helal on matchday.

None of the four is injured. Bruno Henrique has carried this pubalgia for some time, though he featured against Lanús.

The only injury absentee is Saúl, who is recovering from surgery on his left ankle and has yet to play this season. He no longer requires immobilisation.
