Flamengo could announce a new sponsorship soon after Cimed’s chief executive posted a photo of a club shirt, prompting speculation.
João Adibe also met Flamengo executives on Monday 17. According to Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, an agreement with the company is already in place, with only a Deliberative Council vote to follow.
The exact placement of the branding on the kit is still being assessed. Adibe further shared a screenshot of the Brasileirão table showing Cimed’s name in place of clubs the pharmaceutical sponsors.
At Palmeiras, Cimed currently occupy the sleeve, while Crefisa remain the master sponsor. Any Flamengo tie-up could irritate the São Paulo club’s board, who previously avoided a deal with Adidas to avoid sharing a supplier with Flamengo.
If completed, Cimed would join Betano, BRB, Lubrax, Hapvida, Shopee, Ademicon and GAC on Flamengo’s shirt. Betano are the master sponsor, paying R$ 268.5 million per year for the central space.
