Although there is nothing on the stake for them, FC Barcelona still have a match left to play before the end of the 2025-26 season. This match is set to be played against Valencia at Mestalla, a venue that has never been easy for the Catalans.

Hansi Flick is already training the team for this game, and as SPORT has reported, he was able to count on three players who did not feature in the last game, against Real Betis, i.e., Frenkie de Jong, Ferran Torres, and Marcus Rashford.

The Dutch midfielder had been absent due to an illness, a situation confirmed by the coach himself after the Betis game, while Ferran Torres also missed out after the club issued a medical update regarding a minor muscular issue in the femoral biceps area.

Marcus Rashford, meanwhile, was part of the matchday squad but did not feature for a single minute against the Verdiblancos due to muscle discomfort.

However, all three players trained normally with the rest of the squad on Wednesday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and are expected to be available for selection against Valencia, unless there are any late setbacks.

Beyond the fitness updates, this final trip of the season to Mestalla also comes with several situations still unresolved ahead of the summer, with decisions pending on a number of fringe players and loan cases still open.

For Flick, the main positive is simply being able to recover important players at the right moment, even if the season is already decided. It is also a chance to close a campaign that has brought two trophies and helped strengthen the foundations of his project at Barcelona, with only one final chapter left to write at Mestalla.
