Despite already reinforcing several key areas of the squad, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains determined to make one more blockbuster signing before the transfer window closes. 

And according to journalist Jose Felix Diaz, speaking on Ruben Martin’s YouTube channel, that player is not Julian Alvarez.

Instead, Bayern Munich star Michael Olise has emerged as the president’s dream target.

The French winger is viewed as the marquee addition capable of putting the finishing touch on Jose Mourinho’s new-look Real Madrid project, with the club preparing to revisit the situation once the World Cup comes to an end.

Olise is Real Madrid’s priority target

In recent days, speculation surrounding Real Madrid’s next major signing has centred on Julian Alvarez.

The club even submitted a €150 million offer for the Atletico Madrid forward, fulfilling the promise Perez had made during the presidential election campaign when he revealed that a huge bid would be launched for a superstar player.

That proposal was ultimately rejected, as expected, by Atletico Madrid. However, according to Jose Felix Diaz, Alvarez was never the ultimate objective.

The player Perez wants most is Olise. The Bayern Munich winger has climbed Real Madrid’s shortlist thanks to his creativity, ability to break defensive lines and growing influence at both club and international level. 

Within the club, he is viewed as a player capable of becoming one of the faces of the next generation.

Most importantly, Perez sees him as the true Galactico signing of the summer.

The journalist claims Real Madrid are prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to secure Olise’s signature.

In fact, the club president is allegedly willing to authorise an offer even bigger than the one Real Madrid submitted for Kylian Mbappe in 2021.

That alone explains how highly the French international is rated within the Santiago Bernabeu.

Perez has already overseen the arrivals of Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva this summer. Yet none of those signings appear to satisfy his desire to land a genuine headline-making acquisition.

The president wants one final statement signing before the market closes, and Olise fits that profile perfectly.
