Fluminense became the first side to reach the Copa Libertadores semi-finals, edging Platense 3-2 on aggregate on Tuesday 15.

They won the first leg 2-0, then in Argentina the hosts levelled the tie by half-time before Canobbio struck after the break, leaving the night 2-1 to Platense and the tie 3-2 to the Rio club. According to Coluna Do Fla, ESPN and Disney+ will broadcast Flamengo v Independiente del Valle.

The semi-final opponents will come from LDU and Palmeiras. Palmeiras won the first leg 1-0 at Nubank Parque. The decider is on Wednesday 16 at 19:00 Brasília time in Ecuador.

Flamengo carry a 2-0 first-leg lead after Thursday 10’s win in Quito, with goals from Bruno Henrique and Léo Pereira. They can lose by one goal in the return and still advance, a simple victory also seals progression. If Independiente del Valle repeat the 2-0 scoreline, the tie will be settled by penalties.

Whoever advances from Flamengo against Del Valle will face Corinthians or Estudiantes in the last four. Their first meeting ended 1-1, with Wednesday 16 to decide the tie.
