Folarin Balogun (25) could be included in AS Monaco’s squad for the game against RC Lens next weekend, as per a report from L’Équipe.

Monaco manager Filipe Luís revealed that Balogun had been playing through some knee pain during the FIFA World Cup in the summer. As a result, he has yet to feature under the Brazilian. The USMNT forward had not even trained with the first team until the end of last week. Prior to that, the former Arsenal man saw a move to Everton fall through on transfer deadline day. Balogun will play for Monaco, at least until January, and he could even be involved next Saturday, L’Équipe understands.

Having made his return to first-team training, this Saturday’s visit to face RC Strasbourg Alsace may come too soon, however, a place in the squad for the final Ligue 1 game before the international break, against RC Lens, is a real possibility.
