Following a rejection of their oversized offer for former Wolfsburg attacker Adam Daghim, Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim are much more likely to sign Slovak winger Leo Sauer away from Feyenoord. The Bundesliga outfit has already agreed to terms with the 12-times-capped international.

The left flank specialist maintains a current estimated market value of €7m in the latest Transfermarkt listings. While other clubs remain interested in Sauer, Hoffenheim possess much deeper pockets and can offer the youngster a chance to elevate his status within the Bundesliga.

Leo Sauer seres as a better Bazoumana Touré replacement

Unlike Daghim, Sauer primarily works on the left-hand-side. Tactically, the 20-year-old can also work as an inverted winger, deep-seated ten, or short striker much in the way the new Newcastle United signing did. Sky claims that Hoffenheim do not intend to sign both players, meaning that interest in Daghim will likely evaporate.

One assesses the likelihood of this transfer being completed as strong.
