Ferry scored a goal of the season contender in his side’s 4-0 rout, and clearly impressed the quadruple treble winning skipper.

Celtic are said to be interested in the left back, and Brown reckons it would be a wise move for the club to snap up the player who he says is perfect back up to Kieran Tierney due to the similarities in their respective games.

The former Celtic captain had this to say on BBC Sportscene: “Will Ferry for me was incredible today from start to finish, and they will do well to hold onto him.

“I think if you’re looking at Celtic at this moment in time, he’s similar to Kieran [Tierney]. He’s powerful, he wants to drive forward, very good crosser of the ball.

“I think a lot of people naturally think he just wants to go forward all the time, but he’s a very, very good defender, that’s what Kieran is as well.

“It would be a very good move for Celtic if they go and snap him up, because there’s been a bid for £1.7million already, and he didn’t want to go. It’s quite a cheap option to go and hopefully get a person who knows the league.”

Ferry would be an ideal addition to the Celtic squad, as he’s clearly a talented player who also knows the league which is an added bonus.

Celtic will have to be quick however, as there’s several sides interested in snapping up the 25 year old, before the transfer window slams shut next week.
