Former FC Porto and Académica midfielder Ákos Buzsáky missing in Hungary | OneFootball

Ákos Buzsáky, 44, is missing in Hungary. The former midfielder was last seen in Budapest on 18 August and is being sought by police.

According to Blikk, his father said he had not known police were also looking for his son. He added Buzsáky spends much of his time in Greece working as a construction contractor, that they speak less often as they do not live together, and that they last spoke last week when he was at home.

Buzsáky began at MTK and BKV Elore before joining FC Porto in 2002. He made four first-team appearances that season, with one assist, plus 25 games and three goals for FC Porto B. He spent the following year on loan at Académica, playing 24 times and scoring once.

In 2004/05 he featured in 19 matches for Porto, scoring nine, then left in January 2005 for Plymouth Argyle. He later played for Queens Park Rangers, Portsmouth and Barnsley, and finished his career with Ferencváros in Hungary.

QPR expressed concern on social media and offered prayers that he be found safe and well. Buzsáky won 20 caps for Hungary’s senior side.
